NeuroTherapy

NeuroTherapy

Neurodegenerative diseases are characterized by the deterioration or loss of nerve cells. It is generally accepted that once the cells of the brain and spinal cord are damaged they are not easily regenerated.  Our goal is to slow or stop the progression of disease, then help the body to repair and regenerate.

The three most common neurodegenerative diseases are:

  • Alzheimer’s disease which is the most common form of dementia and is characterized by a steady loss of memory and other mental functions.
  • Parkinson’s disease which is characterized by poor functioning of the neural circuits that control body movements and the most common symptom is tremors in a resting state. Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease are the most common neurological diseases in elderly people.
  • Multiple Sclerosis (MS) which is a debilitating autoimmune disease affecting the nervous system and is most common in young people.

The loss of function of the nerve cells through inflammation can happen gradually over time with some cells dying off while others fail gradually because of deterioration.
